Sur cette carte figure le parcours effectué par Serge Asher après sa première évasion.

Sa physionome modifiée et après avoir trouvé refuge chez une connaissance de Mme Eskenazy, dont il avait mémorisé le nom (Poirier) et un morceau d’adresse (rue Madagascar), il regagne Lyon par un itinéraire détourné. 

Le 7 novembre 1942 au matin, Il rejoint les quartiers nord de Marseille où il prend un tram en direction d’Aix-en-Provence. Avant le terminus, il descend et gagne, à pied le village de Puyricard. Là, il récupère l’omnibus en direction de Gap et s’arrête en gare de Veynes à la nuit tombée. Saisi par la froideur de la nuit, il préfère poursuivre à pied, son parcours plutôt que de dormir. Après avoir abattu une trentaine de kilomètres, un camion de ramassage laitier le prend à bord et le conduit jusqu’à Monestier. Muni d’un billet de train, il attrape l’omnibus à destination de Grenoble puis le train pour Lyon.

After putting on a disguise and seeking refuge with one of Madame Eskenazy's contacts, whose name, Poirier, and part of an address, rue Madagascar Ravanel memorized, he left for Lyon, taking all precautions by following an unpredictable itinerary.

The morning of November 7th, Ravanel went to one of Marseille's northern neighborhoods where he took the tram going to Aix-en-Provence. He got off before the last stop and walked to the village of Puyricard. From there he took the local train headed to Gap and got off the station in Veynes as night fell. Because of the cold, Ravanel decided to walk rather than sleep. After a long 30 kilometers, a milkman picked him up and drove him to Monestier. Ravanel bought a ticket for the train headed to Grenoble, and then took the one for Lyon.
